Cape Coral and Southwest Florida Feature Stories

Sanibel Island is right down the road from where I live - less than a half an hour away. I know the Island well...the different sections of shoreline, the shops, the must-visit restaurants and all of the world class resorts.

When my husband offered to whisk me away for a romantic birthday weekend on the beach -- Ocean’s Reach was my first and only choice.
Returning to Ocean’s Reach is always like coming home. There’s something instantly familiar and comforting about the secluded location. Even if it’s your first visit -- Andy, Dru and the entire guest services team will greet you with a welcome as warm as Southwest Florida, itself. This dedicated team cares about your comfort, the property and Sanibel Island -- they will anticipate your needs, answer your questions and do everything in their power to make certain your Oceans Reach memories are more amazing than you ever expected.
My favorite activity at Oceans Reach is visiting the pristine and natural beach at uncommon hours and losing track of time.
Dragging our lawn chairs down the sandy walkway just before sunset with glasses of really great red wine. Enjoying the night air with a blanket…lying there for hours beneath the stars. Quiet. Peaceful. Alone with my husband. Watching the moon reflect on the water. Comforted by the sounds of the beach in the dark. Crashing waves and wind in the sea oats.
On Sanibel Island, we always rise before the sun does. There’s a different energy in the morning - inspiring, under-appreciated and more beautiful than most will ever imagine.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you -- Don't go back to sleep...
