Cape Coral and Southwest Florida Feature Stories

While the rest of us have trouble getting our daily errands done, there are some among us who accomplish big things and make it look easy, effortlessly packing more hours into each day, more days into each week, always seemingly one step ahead of the rest of the world. Watching them live their lives motivates us to add more intention and meaning to our own. Successful overachievers have mastered the graceful dance of living life to its fullest potential. And just observing what they’re able to create out of the fleeting moments making up their days can allow us to reconsider the limitless possibilities inherent in ours.
Case in point: Local go-getter, Dr. Alphonse Tribuiani, DPM, FACFAS.
Naples Barometer recently cornered Dr. Tribuiani for a short interview on the three full-time businesses he is currently nurturing and expanding. In a matter of a few minutes he gave us a sneak peek into what one human being can make happen when they keep putting one foot in front of the other. This is what he had to say:
On SWFL Ankle and Foot Care Specialists: “It’s exceedingly gratifying for me to be a part of Southwest Florida Ankle and Foot Care Specialists. We are a group of 12 distinguished physicians who are really advancing the practice of podiatric medicine here in Southwest Florida. We have 12 locations — providing coverage from Port Charlotte to Naples. We are on the cutting edge of podiatry, but always aiming to provide aggressively conservative care to our patients. We want to balance a quick cure to your problem with minimal pain and inconvenience. This means surgery is always the last option, only to be considered when absolutely necessary. We’ve got access to all the innovative technology available to diagnose and treat your lower extremity problems. Our MRI system is the world’s only high field, open MRI system dedicated to extremity imaging. We do ultrasound imaging, nerve conduction studies, even mesotherapy. If you’ve been putting off a visit to the doctor for your leg, ankle, or foot issues for fear of surgery taking you off your feet for an extended amount of time — you should definitely pay us a visit. You’ll be amazed at the relief we can usually offer after just one consultation.”
On SONU Aesthetic Day Spa: “SONU Spa is the physical manifestation of ideas I’ve been carrying with me and refining for years. This is Florida’s first “‘hybrid’ spa fusing all of what you’ve ever come to expect from a traditional day spa with the added benefits of a dedicated staff of physicians and medical technicians licensed to offer you all of the next generation make-over procedures you can’t get from a standard spa. It’s a special place for anyone seeking a full array of age-defying services. In addition to the facials, massages, manicures and pedicures — we also provide Microdemabrasion, Botox®, Radiesse™, and Restylane™. Our non-surgical aesthetic laser treatments are performed on our Palomar/ELOS system. This is the world’s most advanced laser and pulsed light platform for aesthetic applications, and we use it for permanent hair reduction, leg vein treatment, skin rejuvenation, skin tightening, acne clearance, and deep wrinkle reduction. And, because we place special emphasis on advanced services for the feet, SONU Spa is one of less than a dozen US providers of the ‘Pillows for Feet®’ treatment which was designed to offer comfort for wearers of high heeled shoes.”
On the Deep Cover Nail System: “Finger and toe nail fungal infections are rampant in epidemic-like proportions across the world today. Ninety percent of the patients who visit Southwest Florida Foot and Ankle Specialists are suffering from a fungal problem. Many of them go to great lengths to hide the symptoms of their fungal infection by wearing restrictive shoes or painting their nails with a regular colored nail polish. But it’s a catch 22. You may be able to hide the problem, but you wind up exacerbating the symptoms in the process. It became clear to me that my patients needed a new alternative. About eight and a half years ago, Dr. Husni A. Charara, DPM, FACFAS and I began developing the initial concept of the Deep Cover Nail System with Medessence. This is the first all-natural, botanical polish that contains medicinal properties that can help change an unhealthy nail back to its normal appearance and covers up the patient’s problem while it is being treated. It’s a polish with a purpose, and it’s been approved as an over-the-counter drug. We’ve already sold out our product to five star reviews on Shop NBC several times over. Now we’re pushing ahead with a national direct TV campaign which we kicked off earlier this year.”
